Research the real role
Read the vacancy again, review the employer's official website and identify the three outcomes that seem most important. Prepare one example for each, including what you personally did.
Structure experience clearly
Use a simple situation, task, action and result structure. Spend less time on background and more on your decisions, collaboration, problem solving and measurable outcome.
Questions worth asking
- What would success look like in the first three months?
- How is the team organised and who would this role work with?
- What are the actual office, shift or remote-work expectations?
- What are the next steps and expected decision timeline?
After the interview
Send a brief thank-you when appropriate, record important details and follow the stated timeline. A legitimate employer should not require payment to progress your application.
